MikroTik product availability has taken an upward leap all over the world since 1996. Although the name is MikroTik Router OS, that doesn’t mean that it is only meant for routers. It can be used as an operating system for other devices as well. This software can be installed on PCs to convert the concerned devices into dedicated routers. If you wish to access the latest software version of MikroTik, then you can visit the MikroTik Software page and use one of two installation methods i.e., CD Install and Net Install.

• It encompasses an extensive set of features

MikroTik RouterOS is packed with an extensive set of features that include, configuration, routing, firewall, VPN, MPLS, DHCP, wireless, bandwidth management, wireless access point, hotspot, proxy, Quality of Service and several tools.

• It can be tested even without a license

Yeah you read it right! What makes MikroTik different from the rest is that it allows you to test the MikroTik RouterOS software before purchasing a software license. This mode is called the Trial Mode that allows you to test the complete set of features of MikroTik Router OS for up to 24 hours. Once the 24 hours is over, you will need the license key to keep on experiencing the  full functionality of the device. For that, you can register for an account and choose the option to “Purchase a Router OS license key.”
